Kim Leary, CEO of Birmingham based Squibble Ltd, was yesterday named Young Entrepreneur beating off several competitors to win the prestigious award at the Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards. We caught up with her to ask about this achievement.

Kim Leary, CEO of Birmingham based Squibble Ltd, has been named Young Entrepreneur. She beat off several competitors to win the prestigious award at the Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards.

The Awards took place on the 28th September at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Birmingham, before an audience of senior and influential business leaders.

The prestigious Women in Business Awards were first established to highlight and celebrate the outstanding performance and results achieved by the leading women in business.

The much anticipated announcement of the semi-finalists for the NatWest Venus Women’s Awards Birmingham 2014 was made last night.   In a suspense-filled evening at the Johnsons Volkswagen Garage, nominees, sponsors and friends gathered to find out who would be invited to the penultimate event – the Finalists announcement in October.

Heat turned up for school children in Dragon’s Den style competition:

“School children felt the heat when they took part in a Dragon’s Den style challenge to devise a campaign to promote green travel to classmates. Pupils from schools across the region have been working with transport authority Centro and consultants Mott MacDonald.”

Also on the panel were Kimberley-Jane, director of Kimberley-Jane Designs Ltd and Christine Herd, site strategy and transformation manager at Aero-Engine Controls.”
